Russia attacked a Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) repair crew in the Donetsk region with a jet-powered Shahed-type drone, killing one track maintenance worker and injuring two other railway employees.
According to Ukrinform, Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia, stated this on Facebook.
"Today our railway family has suffered another loss due to enemy shelling. Our repair crew was restoring an infrastructure facility in the Donetsk region that had previously been damaged by the enemy. A jet-powered Shahed drone was deliberately directed at the railway workers. Dispatchers warned of the critical danger, and most employees managed to evacuate. Sadly, one of our track maintenance workers sustained injuries in the explosion that were incompatible with life. Two of our colleagues also suffered shrapnel wounds," Pertsovskyi said.

He added that all the circumstances that prevented the worker's life from being saved despite the warning are currently being investigated.
