Pupils from across the Western Cape took part in the Week of Warriors blood donation campaign.
Schools across the Western Cape are rolling up their sleeves this week as part of the Week of Warriors blood donation campaign, which aims to encourage young people to become regular blood donors.
Running from Monday, July 27 to Friday, July 31, the campaign is being held by the Western Cape Blood Service (WCBS) as it works towards increasing its youth donor base by 1 500 donors during the current financial year.
Each participating school will host an on-site blood donation clinic during the campaign.
The initiative comes as the WCBS continues to face pressure on blood stocks during the winter months, while also aiming to build a culture of blood donation among young people.
