Most adults with diabetes ineligible for out-of-pocket insulin caps

State legislation that caps out-of-pocket insulin costs for people with diabetes does not cover most Americans with the disease, according to findings published in Diabetes Care. In an analysis of out-of-pocket insulin caps that went into effect from 2019 to 2026, researchers found that 29 states and Washington, D.C., have some form of a cap in place.
