Police in Wroclaw have questioned the Ukrainian couple who were attacked by three men on Sunday, July 26, and are now working to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.

Wroclaw police spokesperson Aleksandra Freus told this to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Police officers have recently completed questioning the victims. However, intensive efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible have been underway since the morning. We do not rule out the possibility that we may report the first results of these efforts as early as today," Freus said.

A video showing three men beating a man and a woman who tried to intervene has caused a major stir in Poland's information space. According to statements from the victims' relatives, the young Ukrainian couple were attacked by three Polish men, and the assault was clearly motivated by their nationality.

The Consulate General of Ukraine in Wroclaw and the Embassy of Ukraine in Warsaw have already responded to the incident.
