A 27-year-old suspect has been arrested for the attempted murder following a shooting incident that targeted MK Party Ilembe District Secretary Zanele Mbhamali and her husband.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of MK Party Ilembe District secretary Zanele Mbhamali and her husband.
Velile Ntshangase was nabbed by the KZN Political Killings Task Team (PKKT).
National police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said Ntshangase appeared in the Ndwedwe District Court in KZN on Monday and the matter was adjourned to August 3.
Ntshangase faces two counts of attempted murder. He is expected to secure legal representation at his next appearance.
