The Cape Town International Kite Festival returns to #ColourTheSky for its 32nd year in October.
The beloved Cape Town International Kite Festival returns for its 32nd year in October.
Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, October 24 and 25 at Youngsfield Military Base in Ottery, the festival promises another unforgettable weekend where spectacular kites, family fun and community spirit come together in support of mental health awareness and the vital work of Cape Mental Health.
Since its launch in 1994, the Cape Town International Kite Festival has grown into Africa's oldest kite festival and one of South Africa's best-known mental health awareness events.
While the giant kites and colourful displays have become a highlight for thousands of visitors, the festival's greatest purpose is to encourage conversations around mental health, reduce stigma and remind people that no one has to face life's challenges alone.
