Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the conflict with Iran will conclude only when the Islamic Republic regime collapses or becomes sufficiently weakened to halt its nuclear ambitions.
Speaking in an interview with Fox News, Netanyahu asserted that Tehran must come to understand that continuing to cause “global economic chaos, kill thousands of its own citizens, and attack others” carries severe consequences. Netanyahu stressed that Iran’s nuclear program must end, “with or without an agreement.”
The Israeli prime minister further warned that, should Iran or its regional proxy groups launch attacks against Israel, they would face a “very decisive” response, adding that Tehran would be making a “huge mistake” by taking such action.
Regarding his upcoming trip to Washington and meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, Netanyahu remarked that he does not intend to share new intelligence, as intelligence-sharing between the two nations remains exceptionally close. He noted that he is eager to hear President Trump’s perspective on the future of the confrontation with Iran, stating, “In many respects, it is his decision.”
Netanyahu also confirmed that he will “definitely” travel to New York in September to address the United Nations General Assembly, stating his intention to speak about Israel and the U.S.-Israel alliance.
