Actor Ryan Reynolds made a surprise appearance as his iconic character Deadpool at San Diego Comic Con, as he asked Robert Downey Jr for a role in the new Avengers: Doomsday.In character and sporting a darker Deadpool suit, the 49-year-old emerged from the crowd, asking for a role in the upcoming Marvel film. He was swiftly informed by Robert Downey Jr, who stars as Doctor Doom, that it had already been filmed.Reynolds quipped: "This seems an awfully expensive way to announce a film. When do you start filming?" Downey Jr, surrounded by the rest of the cast on stage, retorted: "It’s in the can bro, look around you, did you bump your head?" Reynolds pressed further: "I see, so there’s no additional photography, overages, hot costs, maybe last-minute additions?
