When Ryan Reynolds showed up at Comic Con on Saturday during the Marvel Studios presentation, audiences were surprised. He didn’t show up in his regular red suit, but donned a grey denim suit instead.

It was afterwards that fans who had been wandering the halls of Comic Con and taking photos with who they thought was a Deadpool cosplayer, did they realize it was actually Reynolds, who happily took selfies with anyone who stopped him.

In a bew video, Reynolds posted a video of his outfit and confirmed that he was able to walk the floor incognito. “The fans got Deadpool off the ground so many years ago. Yesterday, 10 years after the first film and exactly years years after ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ I felt so lucky to be on the #SDCC floor with everyone whose unapologetic devotion brings so much joy to this world. No handlers, no security, no ropes. WHAT A GIFT. Thanks to everyone I met, who aren’t only cosplaying but world-building. And also… actual Sergeant Slaughter!”

The video also shows Reynolds walking into the Marvel presentation as Robert Downey Jr. calls him out and says, “Who’s this guy with the swords and stuff?”

Reynolds replied, “Long-time listener, first-time caller. This seems an awfully expensive way to announce a film. When do you start filming?”
