President Cyril Ramaphosa says every report, including the final one, will be published at the end of the Madlanga Commission's term.

President Cyril Ramaphosa says the names and findings of the Madlanga Commission’s second interim report will only be made available at the end of the inquiry’s tenure.

This follows public concerns and frustrations that this could compromise transparency and undermine public accountability.

The delay also fueled suspicions that high-profile figures and political leaders are being shielded from scrutiny.

Retired Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga, who is chairing the commission, handed the second report to Ramaphosa on May 29, 2026.
