Scammers have created a fake X account impersonating Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi.
According to Ukrinform, the warning was issued on Facebook by Dmytro Lykhovii, Spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The perpetrators even spent money to purchase a blue verification checkmark for the fake X account of Commander-in-Chief Mykhailo Drapatyi.
"But both the account and its latest post are fake," Lykhovii said.
He urged the public to rely only on verified official sources.
