KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO, Philippines — Heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon triggered flash floods that left two people dead and another missing in Kiamba, Sarangani, the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council-12 (RDRRMC-12) reported on Sunday.
The RDRRMC-12, chaired by the Office of Civil Defense-12 (OCD-12), said the region remains under red alert status as the southwest monsoon continues to bring heavy rainfall.
According to the council, overflowing rivers and creeks caused the fatalities and the reported disappearance in Kiamba.
