Farmers in Bordeaux have joined efforts to suppress the flames of the 'apocalyptic' wildfires spreading across France. Footage posted on social media has shown a convoy of tractors reinforcing fire crews with huge water tankers as they drive through a town centre in the south of the country.One farmer has been pictured wearing personal protective equipment as tractor drivers ride into the inferno threatening to wipe out Bordeaux.One person, who shared the video, said: 'The farmers of Charente-Maritime have boarded the Royan ferry to join Gironde as reinforcements against the wildfires.
