Two new farms are being constructed these days near my house on Mount Gilboa. These are projects being built in Area C, as defined in the Oslo Accords, constituting part of a new defence conception in our region. The community I live in lies within the Green Line, the 1967 border, very close to the security barrier, a location that has given it the moniker of "the Jenin envelope." One of these new farms is being built under the alcohol and drug rehabilitation village of Malkishua, with the other scheduled to be built between Kibbutz Ma'aleh Gilboa and the West Bank village of Faqqua.
