The Russian attacks that killed people in Chernihiv and Zaporizhzhia today are deliberate acts of Russian terror with no military justification, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
According to Ukrinform, Zelensky made the statement in a Telegram post.
"The Russians continue claiming ‘victory’ over ordinary civilian sites. In a deeply cynical drone strike on an ordinary supermarket in Chernihiv, they targeted people directly with no military purpose whatsoever,” the President said.
He said that, as of now, 13 people are known to have been injured and two killed in Chernihiv, including a child. All necessary emergency services are working at the scene and providing assistance to the victims.
Zelensky also added that one person was killed and another injured as a result of a Russian strike with guided aerial bombs on Zaporizhzhia.
