A Molotov cocktail attack at a house in Mogappair created tension among the residents, and the Nolambur police have filed a case to nab the offenders. A senior official of the city police said Anand was a resident of Mogappair Block 2 and had contacts with history-sheeters Jai Ganesh and Chota Ram. On Saturday night, Anand along with the history-sheeters had consumed alcohol, during which a heated argument ensued between them.Anand left the place and came home to sleep. Suddenly, a gang of men came to Anand’s house and threw a Molotov cocktail. Anand’s elder brother Arun, tried to stop the gang from entering the house and sustained a head injury from a sickle blow. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital and is undergoing treatment. The Nolambur police are searching for the absconding rowdies including Jai Ganesh and Chota Ram, and their accomplices.
