German police launched a citywide search on Sunday for a 21-year-old man suspected of involvement in an attack near Berlin’s Christopher Street Day Pride event, where a vehicle struck people in Tiergarten park, killing one woman and injuring 16 others. Police said one or more people fled after the vehicle hit a tree.
Berlin police and prosecutors identified the wanted man as Abdul B. and released his photograph while asking the public for information about his location.
Officers warned people not to approach him because he might be armed and dangerous. Police described him as about 1.9 metres tall, with a slim build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded top and white trousers.
