Durban Metro Police officers Lindokuhle Madonsela and Ndumiso Thusi were allegedly ambushed and shot dead while reporting for duty in Mpumalanga township, Hammarsdale, in June 2020. The KwaZulu-Natal Political Killings Task Team has since arrested a KwaMashu traditional healer accused of masterminding their murders, as well as the killing of ANC Youth League member Thamsanqa Kingdom Gcabashe.
The KwaZulu-Natal Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) has arrested a popular KwaMashu traditional healer accused of orchestrating the murders of African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) member Thamsanqa Kingdom Gcabashe and eThekwini Metro Police officers Lindokuhle Madonsela and Ndumiso Thusi.
The arrest follows an extensive investigation into the three murders, which occurred between May and June 2020.
The suspect, who police allege masterminded the killings, was arrested on Friday and is expected to appear in the Hammarsdale Magistrate's Court tomorrow.
According to police, Gcabashe was shot dead outside his home in Section G, Mpumalanga township, Hammarsdale, on May 26, 2020.
