Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci said the U.S. is facing a deep political divide between establishment institutions and frustrated populist voters, arguing that a leader who acknowledges both sides could reshape American politics.
Scaramucci Highlights US Political Divide On Saturday, in a post on X, Scaramucci said the country is divided between "establishment America" and "populist America." "There are really two Americas right now, and whoever can speak to both of them wins," he wrote.
He added, "There’s the establishment America and there’s the populist America." In an accompanying video, Scaramucci pointed to the roughly 80 million Americans who voted for Donald Trump in the last presidential election as evidence of widespread dissatisfaction with the current political system.
"There are 80 million people in this country that are very dissatisfied with establishment America," he said.
Inflation, Trust Issues Drive Voter Anger Scaramucci argued that the politician who succeeds will be someone who recognizes voters’ frustrations rather than simply choosing a political side.
