PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — A house in Barangay Tubod, Lakewood, Zamboanga del Sur, collapsed following soil erosion apparently caused by heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon late Saturday afternoon, authorities confirmed.
Capt. Derf Jay Maquinta, spokesperson for the Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office, said personnel of the Lakewood Municipal Police Station rushed to Purok 1 at around 4 p.m. on July 25 after receiving a report from a concerned citizen.
