IGCAR event focuses on taking research innovations to industry and space

Mylswamy Annadurai, former Director of the U.R. Rao Satellite Centre, ISRO, Bengaluru, spoke about the importance of synergy between Deeptech start-up ecosystem in the country and premier Research and development centres.

The AIC IGCAR FAST Foundation (AIC FAST), the Atal Incubation Centre of Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam, organised an event themed “Translation of IGCAR Technologies: From Lab to Land... and to Space” on Friday.According to a press release, the chief guest, Mylswamy Annadurai, former Director of the U.R. Rao Satellite Centre, ISRO, Bengaluru, spoke about the importance of synergy between Deeptech start-up ecosystem in the country and premier Research and development centres such as IGCAR, catalysed by Deeptech incubation centres, including AIC FAST. Guest of Honour, Daniel Babu P., Head, Technology Transfer and Collaboration Division, BARC, Mumbai, also spoke. Technology transfer licenses for two IGCAR innovations were handed over to start-ups, and two scientific products based on licenses issued by the IGCAR were also launched..
