The Four in a Bed star faced feedback from competitors, including complaints over cleanliness.18:08, 25 Jul 2026A Four in a Bed star has shared his frustration after hearing feedback from guests.‌During a repeat episode airing on Saturday, July 25, the Channel 4 programme featured the owners of a Peak District pub.‌Brothers Richard and Mick had hosted guests at The George Inn in Derbyshire, but their competitors were less than impressed with what they found.‌On payment day, the pair came face-to-face with three other teams, after low scores for cleanliness and sleep ratings.During the stay, York B&B owners Laura and Lucy noticed a pile of dirt and dust built up in their room’s extraction fan, squealing: “Oh my god the extraction, it’s blocked!”‌They then found a stain on the bed, adding: “That’s quite bad.”Competitors Jonny and Sasha were disgusted to find “dribble marks” on one of the pillows, before a “nasty” stain caught their attention.Looking at a large stain on the curtain, Sasha commented that it was “nasty” while Jonny said: “It looks like curry.”‌Meanwhile, fellow Four in a Bed stars Simon and Carol found what appeared to be a cigarette burn on the mattress and stains on their pillow.Providing feedback, Laura and Lucy delivered a five for the sleep score, after complaining it had been too cold.‌Reading their comment, Richard admitted: “It’s frustrating, it’s not good enough.”On payment day, they heard from their competitors about the cleanliness concerns.Jonny shared: “There were a few housekeeping issues, some big dribble stains on the pillows. Also on the curtains, it’s like someone had chucked a beef curry on the back of the curtain, there was a stain there. Just basic cleanliness.”‌Carol added: “I can’t say that we were happy to find the stains and cigarette burn on the mattress, it’s something you wouldn’t expect to find in a room when you booked in.”The George Inn owners admitted they hadn’t checked the rooms beforehand, but didn’t want “to do anything different” than they would have for usual guests.‌They did insist they needed more housekeeping staff and had planned for redecoration, adding: “Clearly, there’s issues for us to jump on when we get back.”They added to the camera: “We obviously appreciate all the feedback, most of what has been flagged up were things we were aware of to improve, replace, upgrade.”Coming in fourth place, the brothers discovered they’d been given a total underpayment of £72, vowing: “We’ll definitely take away the new friendships made and ideas and tweaks that we’ve learned from other people.”Article continues belowFour in a Bed is available to watch on Channel 4.
