Let's start with the more positive update. The new Ofcom stats show the overall picture for the broadband industry is improving.The UK regulator says complaints about the UK's biggest broadband providers have now fallen to their lowest level since records began. In fact, things have dropped dramatically from a peak of 40 per 100,000 customers in 2011 to just six per 100,000 customers in the first quarter of 2026.Although moans have fallen, there's bad news for customers of TalkTalk with this provider not peforming as well as its rivals.The new data from Ofcom shows that TalkTalk generated the highest number of customer complaints between January and March 2026, making it the UK's most complained-about broadband provider."TalkTalk was the most complained-about broadband provider, with their complaints staying at similar levels to the previous quarter," Ofcom said. "Complaints mostly related to faults, service and provisioning, complaints handling and problems with billing, pricing and charges."TalkTalk recorded 10 complaints per 100,000 customers, ahead of Vodafone (8) and BT (7).
