RIYADH: Three Red Sea Film Foundation-backed films have been selected for the official program of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, taking place between Sept. 2-12.

An additional eight Red Sea-backed projects will participate in the festival’s industry platform.

The official program includes “Conversation with the Sea,” directed by Muayad Alayan, and “Guria,” directed by Levan Koguashvili, both selected for the Venice Spotlight section. “House of the Wind,” directed by August Bernard Cuimo Yangho, will compete in the Horizons section, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The foundation is also supporting three projects in the Venice Gap-Financing Market and five of the six films in development selected for the Final Cut in Venice program.

The foundation is supporting a total of 11 films and projects across the festival and its industry platform.
