Billionaire investor Ray Dalio said Friday that the Iran war's outcome hinges entirely on the Strait of Hormuz, warning a decisive clash is imminent.

Dalio Says March Prediction Now Playing Out "It All Comes Down to the Strait of Hormuz: the Final Battle," the Bridgewater Associates founder wrote in an X post.

Dalio noted he shared an article explaining his outlook when the war began, adding "now it is clear that it is happening and we will soon have the final battle and its result." That earlier piece argued any continued Iranian leverage over the strait would hurt Gulf allies, global oil flows and the dollar's reserve-currency status.
