The weather agency has also said the spell of extreme rain is expected to weaken further from Monday.The forecast comes as authorities continue large-scale rescue and relief operations in the worst-affected districts, including Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Ahmedabad and Kheda. More than 38,000 people have been relocated to safer places, while over 350 people have been rescued with the assistance of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Army and local authorities.Several rivers, including the Ambika, Par, Auranga and Daman Ganga, remain in spate, inundating low-lying areas.
