MANILA, Philippines — Yuchengco-led EcoSolar Energy Corp. (ESEC) has completed a P1.25-billion power storage project in the Visayas, making it the first facility of its kind in Capiz province.
On Friday, the company said it completed the 40-megawatt-hour Panitan Energy Storage Project (PESP) in seven months and will begin testing and commissioning once it secures government clearances.

“This milestone comes at a time when power shortfalls and grid instability in the Visayas continue to affect businesses and residents,” ESEC president F. G. Delfin, Jr. said in a statement.
