Robinhood’s Stock Tokens feature, which launched on June 30, 2025, has attracted over 200,000 new tokenized asset holders in roughly one week. For context, tokenized equities have been a niche corner of crypto for years, with the entire market estimated at around $1B in the second half of 2025.
What Robinhood actually built
Stock Tokens give investors exposure to more than 200 tokenized equities and ETFs, essentially wrapping traditional US stocks in blockchain-native packaging. Each token is backed 1:1 by the underlying shares. The feature is available through the Robinhood Wallet in over 120 countries, though notably not in the US itself.
The offering includes zero commissions, 24/5 trading access, and dividend support through what Robinhood calls “multiplier” mechanisms, through which token holders receive dividends automatically reinvested.
The infrastructure underpinning all of this is the Robinhood Chain, a Layer 2 blockchain built on Arbitrum technology. Early activity data showed approximately 200,000 daily active addresses, which lines up with the holder growth numbers.
