Sky Yang and Sean Kaufman will star alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones in Paramount‘s upcoming adaptation of Gabrielle Zevin’s best-selling novel “Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow.”
Set over several decades, the story follows Sadie and her co-collaborator Sam Masur, who meet as children and then reunite as college students, as well as Sam’s roommate and friend Marx Watanabe, as they build a video game studio called Unfair Games. Yang has been cast as Sam and Kaufman will play Marx. Edgar-Jones will portray Sadie. The story looks at the passion and heartbreak of creative collaboration, and unfolds against the rising video game industry of the 1990s-2000s.
Siân Heder, an Oscar winner for “CODA,” is directing and writing the screenplay based on drafts by Mark Bomback and Zevin.
Yang’s credits include a starring role in Justin Lin’s drama “Last Days,” which earned rave reviews at Sundance, as well as the horror film “Whistle.” Yang is slated to appear in Paul Greengrass’s historical drama “The Uprising” as part of a starry cast that includes Andrew Garfield, Jamie Bell, Tom Hollander, and Cosmo Jarvis. He also just finished filming on “Unspeakable” opposite Eliza Scanlen directed by Corinna Faith and recently wrapped on “The Exiles” in Taiwan directed by Midi Z with Sam Worthington. On TV, he appeared in the ITV series “Holding.” Yang’s film career started with a leading role in Zack Snyder’s “Rebel Moon.”
