eThekwini Municipality Mayor, Councillor Cyril Xaba, accompanied by executive committee members, met with the community of KwaNyuswa, KwaNgcolosi, and Embo in the outer-west region of the municipality at the KwaNyuswa Sportsfield.
A child-headed household beneficiary received a new home when eThekwini Municipality leaders met residents of KwaNyuswa to inform them of development projects on Thursday.
The outer-west region projects included the R40 million KwaNqetho 6 megalitre water reservoir, upgraded from its previous capacity of 1 megalitre. The others included a R6 million Qhuzwini Road, upgraded from gravel to tar, and the handover of several houses.
The municipality leadership also met with residents from KwaNgcolosi, Embo, and surrounding areas.
eThekwini Mayor Councillor Cyril Xaba explained that the reservoir was upgraded from a capacity of 1 megalitre, adding that a study conducted in 2021 revealed an increase of 2,500 households in KwaNgcolosi.
