The Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement on Friday, July 24, claiming that during “Operation Nasr-2,” its forces targeted and destroyed the remaining structure of an Amazon data center in Bahrain.
In its statement, the IRGC alleged that the Amazon data facility played a primary role in supplying intelligence to the U.S. military.
This marks the second time in recent days that the IRGC has claimed responsibility for attacking the facility, having previously announced a strike on the data center last week. As of the time of publication, officials from Bahrain, Amazon, and the U.S. military had not issued an official response to the claim.
