The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed on Monday, July 20, that it targeted three locations linked to US forces in Bahrain and Kuwait during the 23rd wave of its “Nasr 2” operation.
According to a statement from the IRGC’s Public Relations Department, the simultaneous three-stage attacks were carried out by the IRGC Navy. In the first stage, drone maintenance and repair hangars belonging to US units at Sakhir Air Base in Bahrain were targeted and allegedly destroyed.
The IRGC further claimed that the second stage targeted hangars used to prepare Task Force 59 (TF59) vessels at Port Salman in Bahrain, stating that the facilities suffered heavy damage, along with significant damage to the vessels themselves. In the third stage of the operation, hangars housing support, staging, and equipment areas for US Navy SEALs at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait were hit. The IRGC claimed that these installations were destroyed.
Concluding its statement, the IRGC threatened that missile and drone strikes against US military personnel would continue if the conflict persists. Independent sources and officials from the US, Bahrain, and Kuwait have not yet verified these claims or the extent of the reported damage.
