The skincare brand founded by beauty journalist and content creator Susan Yara is responsible for some of my all-time favourite beauty products, including what I genuinely think is one of the best body washes on the market: The Glow Getter Multi-Oil Hydrating Body Wash. I’ve lost count of how many bottles I’ve finished.The reason I keep coming back to the brand is simple. Its formulas are effective, reasonably priced and surprisingly gentle, making them the products I reach for when I want results without overthinking my routine. So, when I heard Naturium was finally bringing its first sunscreen to the UK, I couldn’t wait to try it.On paper, the Dew-Glow Moisturiser Mineral SPF 50 sounded like everything I look for in a daily face sunscreen: broad-spectrum SPF 50, a fragrance-free formula and a glowy finish. After putting it to the test over the past few weeks, I can confidently say it has exceeded every expectation.As the name suggests, this is a mineral sunscreen with SPF 50. Personally, I wouldn’t buy a facial sunscreen with anything lower, so it was already ticking an important box. Unlike chemical sunscreens, which absorb UV rays and convert them into heat, mineral formulas sit on the skin’s surface to physically reflect the sun’s rays. This one uses 10% zinc oxide as its UV filter, making it a great option for anyone with sensitive skin.It’s also packed with skincare ingredients that make it feel like much more than just sunscreen. Alongside zinc oxide, you’ll find niacinamide and a stable vitamin C derivative, two ingredients I regularly credit for helping brighten my complexion and maintain an even, healthy-looking glow. Squalane and hyaluronic acid add plenty of hydration too, leaving skin feeling comfortable throughout the day. Just wearing the sunscreen, no make-up What impressed me most, though, was the texture. Mineral sunscreens have a reputation for feeling thick or chalky, but this is anything but. It’s lightweight, blends effortlessly into the skin and absorbs surprisingly quickly. I tend to wait a couple of minutes before applying my makeup, but you certainly don’t have to. It never feels sticky or greasy, and despite being a mineral formula, it leaves absolutely no white cast on my complexion.Instead, it gives skin the sort of healthy, fresh glow I always hope for from an SPF. I don’t wear foundation, so I can’t comment on how it performs underneath a full base, but it layers beautifully under my concealer, cream bronzer and stick blush without pilling or shifting. Even better, my skin still looks fresh by the end of the day. Unlike some sunscreens that leave me looking progressively shinier as the hours pass, this one maintains that natural, luminous finish from morning until evening.One final detail I love is the packaging. The airless pump is hygienic and easy to use, but the real standout is the clever cap, which features a built-in quarter-teaspoon measuring dip. Since dermatologists recommend applying around a quarter teaspoon of sunscreen to your face and neck to achieve the advertised SPF protection, it takes all the guesswork out of knowing you’re applying enough.I’ve tested more facial sunscreens than I could possibly count over the years, and very few have earned a permanent place in my routine. Naturium’s Dew-Glow Moisturiser Mineral SPF 50 has managed exactly that.
