After teasing the Osmo Pocket 4P at the Cannes Film Festival and quietly rolling it out across several Asian markets, DJI has finally announced a global launch date for its new dual-lens pocket gimbal camera. The company says the worldwide launch will take place on July 30 at 12 p.m. GMT.
For creators in the US, though, there’s still one big question mark: Will it actually go on sale in America? That uncertainty has become all too familiar for DJI fans. Over the past year, several of the company’s newest products have seen delayed availability in the United States, even as they launched on schedule across other global markets.
The Osmo Pocket 4P has already been available in China for several weeks. DJI then quietly expanded availability to several Asian markets, including Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, and Vietnam, giving buyers there early access to the company’s first-ever dual-lens pocket gimbal camera.
That regional rollout immediately sparked questions from creators elsewhere, especially in North America, where the camera has remained notably absent.
Now, DJI appears ready to take the next step with a coordinated global announcement. What remains unclear is whether “global” will actually include the United States from day one.
