Football players from Khayelitsha enjoy the views above the clouds of Table Mountain during the Hisense Hands on the Future initiative.
Instead of driving their usual route, taxi drivers transported 160 children from Khayelitsha on a journey that took them far beyond the boundaries of their local neighbourhood pitches to the top of Table Mountain.
"My dream is to become a doctor. The reason is that when I see people suffer, it makes me feel sad. I want to help them, and I hope my dream will come true." - Olwethu Siyo, aspiring doctor, holds her 'Building Future Champions' card above the clouds on Table Mountain.
Standing above the clouds of Cape Town, with panoramic views of the city below, each child participated in an exercise that focused on a single question: What is your biggest dream?
Their answers painted a vivid picture of South Africa's future. Naturally, some dreamt of donning the green and gold of Bafana Bafana. However, as much as sport has given these children a sense of belonging, it has also built a generation of South African youth who hold the confidence to look beyond the football field.
