Former Bosasa chief operating officer and whistleblower Angelo Agrizzi has asked to appear before the Madlanga Commission
Former Bosasa chief operating officer and whistleblower Angelo Agrizzi has approached the Madlanga Commission, seeking an opportunity to deliver what he describes as fresh sworn evidence relating to alleged political interference in the investigation and prosecution of the Bosasa corruption scandal.
According to a leaked submission obtained by IOL, Agrizzi has requested permission to testify under witness protection.
Sources familiar with the matter confirmed that the request has been formally lodged with the commission and centres on the conduct of the Hawks, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) and the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC).
In his sworn statement, Agrizzi identified himself as the whistleblower whose testimony before the Zondo Commission exposed alleged corruption within Bosasa and the bribery of public officials.
