More than 20 people were arrested after police carried out a drug raid in Togafuafua on Friday, seizing methamphetamine and other items from the property.

The Samoa Observer has confirmed the operation was linked to methamphetamine.

The raid began at about 2 p.m. Armed police officers chased some suspects as they attempted to flee the area.

The operation caused traffic congestion, with part of the road blocked while officers searched the property.

Police removed four drums and two containers believed to contain methamphetamine, commonly known as "ice".
