The Lagos State House of Assembly on Thursday confirmed three nominees for appointment into the Local Government Service Commission, while stepping down the confirmation of two others for further legislative scrutiny.

Those confirmed are Hakeem Bamgbola, Olaleye Samsudeen and Olabanji Folashade, while the confirmations of Durosimi Yinka and Seriki Ahmed were deferred.

The decision followed the adoption of the report of the 12-member ad hoc committee on screening of nominees presented during plenary by its chairman, Mojeed Adebola.

Adebola said the committee screened all five nominees forwarded by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in accordance with Sections 106 and 192 of the constitution and other relevant laws.
