Before being crowned Miss Samoa Las Vegas 2026–2027, Faith Davina Letele placed her Army National Guard uniform beside her traditional Samoan attire on stage, using the symbolic gesture to reflect the two roles she said have shaped her life.
Letele, the daughter of Vaifoa Taimi and Fagaalu Letele, won the title on 18 July in Las Vegas. Before receiving her crown, she told the audience her identity was defined not by a military rank or pageant title, but by her faith, values and Samoan heritage.
"I honor this uniform with all my heart, but this uniform is going to come off. At the end of the day, without a title, without a rank, with the camo, I still know who I am," she said.
Letele serves in the Army National Guard and is active in her church community. The Miss Samoa Las Vegas pageant promotes leadership through service while celebrating Samoan culture in the Las Vegas community.
She said military service is a source of pride, but her faith, family and Samoan roots remain the foundation of who she is.
