An Enugu Air aircraft veered off the runway after landing at the Benin Airport on Thursday, with the airline confirming that all passengers and crew members were safely evacuated without injuries.
The incident, described in aviation terms as a runway excursion, involved one of the Enugu State-owned carrier’s Embraer regional jets.
In a statement posted on its official X handle, Enugu Air said the aircraft experienced the runway excursion after landing and that the relevant aviation authorities had been notified.
“Enugu Air wishes to inform the public that one of our aircraft operating into Benin experienced a runway excursion after landing today.
