RIYADH: A project to connect the water reservoir in Ghran city to Al-Ashyab water filling station in Khulais Governorate has been completed, the National Water Co. has said.
The scheme is part of the company’s plans to enhance efficiency in the water distribution system and improve quality of services.
It forms part of operational initiatives aimed at developing infrastructure and increasing operational efficiency through the implementation of rapid and sustainable solutions that improve service standards and enhance efficiency of water distribution.
The company said the project involved the construction of a pipeline some 8,000 meters long to serve 10,000 beneficiaries in Ghran.
The project will reduce the time required to fill the operational reservoir to less than 24 hours — down from three to four days previously — to ensure that water is pumped to relevant districts to meet customer needs.
