Transformer manufacturer DG Matrix has teamed up with Estonian power systems supplier Skeleton Technologies to support the data center sector's transition to 800V DC power infrastructure.

The tie-up will see Skeleton integrate its fast-response energy storage systems across DG Matrix’s Interport multi-port solid-state transformer (SST) platform. According to the companies, the integration will mitigate GPU pulse loads directly in the white space, which they claim is one of the biggest challenges in modern AI data centers, as they often exceed the response capabilities of the power grid and conventional UPS and battery systems.
