One person has died following a suspected knife attack at a bank in the Bavarian city of Regensburg.
According to police, the attack happened on Thursday at 2.50pm.
The victim, believed to be a man, received medical treatment outside the bank and was rushed to hospital, but later died.
German newspaper Bild reported that the victim was an employee at the bank.
As of late Thursday afternoon, police said they believed other people remained inside the building with the suspect, although it was still unclear whether the incident was a hostage situation.
