The United States has bombed Iran for 12 consecutive nights on Thursday as Tehran warns that the war is entering a different stage. Israeli attacks continue in Gaza, while a US-backed security agreement has entered its first phase in southern Lebanon, allowing some displaced residents to return.
Iranian state media reported that overnight US strikes hit several locations across southern Iran, including Shalamcheh, Bushehr, Ahvaz and Andimeshk.
Officials said two people died and 11 others were injured after an attack near the Shalamcheh border crossing with Iraq. Iranian authorities said the crossing remained open while emergency crews worked at the scene.
