IDAC head, Advocate Andrea Johnson, allegedly compromised the investigation into Crime Intelligence Head, Major General Feroz Khan’s assault case.
Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) advocate Andrea Johnson has acknowledged that parts of her evidence before Parliament's ad hoc committee were incorrect, telling the Madlanga Commission she was not fully prepared when she testified.
Johnson made the admission on Thursday during her third day on the witness stand after an extensive exchange with evidence leader Advocate Mahlape Sello SC over inconsistencies between her previous testimony and the evidence now before the commission.
Under questioning, Johnson conceded that she had failed to recall receiving correspondence from Police Minister Senzo Mchunu relating to MP Fadiel Adams' complaint against Crime Intelligence.
She had previously told the ad hoc committee she was "not at all" aware of such a letter.
