TikTok removed more than 884,000 videos in Kenya during the first quarter of 2026 for violating its Community Guidelines, as the platform stepped up efforts to make the app safer for users.

According to TikTok's latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, 884,591 videos were taken down in Kenya between January and March 2026.

Of these, 99.7 per cent were detected and removed proactively before users reported them, while 96.3 per cent were taken down within 24 hours of being uploaded.

The report also shows that TikTok deleted 48,739 accounts suspected to belong to users under the age of 13, reinforcing the platform's efforts to protect children and enforce its minimum age requirement.
