Thandeka Mhlanga, widely known as Shanice, has publicly apologised to South African actor Sipho Ndlovu after admitting that she falsely accused him of domestic violence in 2024.
"I've damaged his reputation. I've chosen to withdraw the case because I've caused irreparable damage to his name and his image," she said in a video statement that brings an end to a legal dispute that attracted widespread public attention.
Mhlanga confirmed that she had officially withdrawn the gender-based violence (GBV) case and acknowledged that the allegations she made against Ndlovu were false.
In the video, she said that she acted "in the heat of the moment" after struggling to accept that their relationship had ended.
