The dismantling and transportation to Ukraine of equipment from a combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Lubmin, which was previously used to heat gas from Nord Stream 1, is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027.
The German energy company SEFE, the majority owner of the plant's operator, Industriekraftwerk Greifswald GmbH (IKG), told this to Ukrinform's correspondent in Germany.
"The agreement on the transfer remains in force, and the IKG site was handed over to Naftogaz at the beginning of July. Companies engaged by the Ukrainian side will apparently begin dismantling and transporting the power plant components in the near future," SEFE said.
The company noted that it was currently unable to provide more precise information about when the work would begin or how it would proceed. The dismantling and transportation of the equipment are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027.
SEFE is a German state-owned energy company. Its subsidiary SEFE Energy owns a 51% stake in Industriekraftwerk Greifswald GmbH (IKG), which owns the Lubmin facility. The remaining 49% is owned by E.ON Energy Projects.
