A Western Cape man is locked in a bitter dispute with a major dealership after a luxury SUV purchased with his life savings allegedly turned into a recurring electronic nightmare, leaving his family stranded on public roads and culminating in a total engine collapse.
Mario Angrisano, 54, of Brackenfell, bought a second-hand 2021 Haval H6 2.0T Premium from Kia Tyger Valley on December 29, 2023, for R359,000, paying cash.
According to Angrisano, the vehicle has since spent a cumulative 162 days in repair workshops while recurring defects remain unresolved despite numerous repair attempts.
The problems allegedly began just two weeks after the purchase. In early January 2024, while driving, the SUV reportedly suffered a complete electrical blackout.
