The first meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Visakhapatnam, for the year 2026 was convened on Wednesday at the seminar hall of the Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) Office.Divisional Railway Manager Lalit Bohra chaired the proceedings, which focused on evaluating and enhancing the progressive use of Hindi across Central government offices in Visakhapatnam.In the major offices category for the year 2025, the Visakhapatnam Divisional Railway Office secured the first position, followed by the Naval Science and Technology Laboratory Office in second and the 56th Battalion Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force Office in third.In the small offices category, the Central Institute of Fisheries Technology won first place, Kendriya Vidyalaya/Waltair took second place, and the Fishery Survey of India secured third place, with all six institutions receiving shields alongside fourteen other regional offices that were presented with appreciation shields.
